Free Jewelry with Free Gems
Across virtual and real landscapes, from groups of smugglers and thieves to upstanding jewelry stores, you can find free gems everywhere. Some are special offers, while others require you to do quests for them. In World of WarCraft, reputation with the Consortium faction allows you to receive free gems once a month. Even if you don’t play Blizzard’s hit MMO, you can still cash in on some fantastic freebies if you sign up with certain stores or make other purchases. The world is full of precious gems, and there are many ways to acquire them. Unfortunately, all the ways require you to do some work.
Reputation and Real Life
The Consortium is a reputation faction in Blizzard’s hit MMO World of WarCraft that gives you some nice little perks the higher level standing you are with them. If you are friendly or above, you can get free gems every single month, although they are not necessarily fantastic gems. If you are only friendly, the gems will most likely be what is referred to as “vendor trash,” or in-game items so bad that their only worth to you is to sell them to an in-game vendor who will, against their will, be forced to purchase this vendor trash from you. The higher your standing, the better the gems will be, until you might actually get some useful ones at the very high reputation levels.
Even if you don’t play the game, you can still get some free gems in real life. Often, jewelry stores will throw in extra bonuses to buying from them. If you buy a diamond necklace, for example, you might also receive a set of beautiful amethyst earrings. You’ll just have to check what specials are going on when you’re shopping for new jewelry, and while you the free gems will undoubtedly be less valuable than what you’re purchasing to begin with, every little perk helps when you’re spending hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Now that you know how to get free gems both in World of WarCraft and real life, you can start collecting them immediately. In World of WarCraft, vendoring them or even selling them on the auction house can be a fantastic way to supplement your in-game income. In real life, you can acquire hundreds of pieces of jewelry simply by collecting free gems as often as possible. You won’t be getting any free diamond rings, but you can still pick up beautiful pieces of jewelry that use other gems without paying a single cent.
